Rani Mukherjee has always been a darling of B-town. But she had been completely MIA especially during and post her pregnancy. We wondered why because she hasn’t been one of those to shy away from the media. But now she opens up.
Rani Mukherjee finally talks about motherhood. She speaks about her lovely daughter Adira and the bond she shares with her, about motherhood and how its changed her.
On what she feels like being a mother:
It feels absolutely great. The last two and a half years, nine months of pregnancy and one and a half years of motherhood, have been the happiest years of my life. I enjoy seeing Adira grow, reach new milestones each day.
How Motherhood has changed her:
It’s amazing being a mother; you change overnight because the experience teaches you on a daily basis. I have become stronger and I have also mellowed down. But a lot of those things come with being a mother. I’m looking forward to my journey of raising Adira.
On being inactive on social media:
I’m not on social media. I don’t post pictures of my daughter because my husband is a very private person and I respect that. Also, I don’t like saying no to my fans, especially when they ask me to post pictures.
Aditya Chopra as a father:
Adi is too involved in his work and probably leaves last from the office. I am trying to change that because he has to understand he has a child waiting for him at home. Now, every day, I manage his time so that he’s home at a time when Adira has not yet slept. In the morning, he spends time with her. He has breakfast with her and then takes her for a walk.
